Sandstone Point Hotel – Construction
|Location||Bribie Island, Queensland|
|Application||External Cladding/Internal Padding|
|Installation Date||Project commenced construction in 2013, with stage 1, The Sandstone Point Hotel, opened in mid 2015.|
This stunning development, located on the waterfront of the Pumicestone Passage, required an external cladding that would enhance the architectural beauty of the building.
The natural choice was our Elements Vulcan + Newport Hector Cladding – a thermally modified plantation timber with patented vertical grain that delivers first class durability (Durability Class 1).
A Patina finish will ‘silver off’ as it ages, providing a stylish, weathered look that seamlessly blends with the natural coastal surroundings. And, this oxidisation process will actually act to protect the wood to ensure long-term robust performance.
In addition, Newport Hector Cladding on internal feature walls will add style, warmth and boost environmental performance of this landmark development.
