Euro Selekta cladding passes fire compliance
Published 3 Nov 2017 in News
At Urbanline, we’re often being asked which of our products are fire compliant.
We recently had Euro Selekta cladding independently tested, with fantastic results.
Euro Selekta is a pre-finished composite with a timber grain look. Already featuring a BAL29 rating (AS 1530.8.1), we can now confirm Euro Selekta cladding performed extremely well in the AS 5113 External Façade Fire Test* - satisfying the performance requirements of the National Construction Code (NCA) Volume One and Two and the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
We’re pleased to say that for your extra peace of mind Urbanline Architectural has gone one step further. We engaged an independent fire engineer to assess all the data from the fire tests and compiled it into a comprehensive evaluation report. The report sets out the requirements and performance provisions from the NCC and BCA and then translates to where, why, and how Euro Selekta can be installed on the different types and classes of buildings.

*Compliance of debris is required to be addressed on a project specific basis.
Euro Selekta has been tested to the requirements of AS5113. The Test Standard used at the time was BS 8414. Additional testing of these requirements are currently underway for reporting purposes only, giving specifiers more clarity when complying with the latest BCA changes.
